Bobbie Mangini Calls for a Redefinition of Success: Service Over Status

CHICAGO, IL / ACCESS Newswire / October 8, 2025 / Human Resources Manager, actor, and volunteer Bobbie Mangini is raising awareness about what real success means in today's world. For her, it is not about titles, money, or recognition-it is about service.

"Success is not about money, career, or status," Mangini explains. "It's about serving others in whatever way you can. I want to be a blessing to as many people as possible."

Mangini has lived this belief through her work with organizations such as the Salvation Army, Union Rescue Mission, and the FISH Food Pantry, where she launched Operation Santa. The program now provides Christmas gifts to hundreds of children every year. "I saw parents cry because they didn't know how they were going to afford Christmas," she recalls. "That kind of impact changes you."

Her message comes at a time when volunteering is needed more than ever. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, formal volunteering in the U.S. has dropped to 23 percent, the lowest level in two decades. Yet research shows that volunteering is linked to better mental health, stronger communities, and improved career satisfaction.

Mangini also emphasizes resilience as part of success. "I once went through 50 auditions and didn't book a single one. Then I had a few more and booked. I didn't quit. That persistence was the turning point."

She encourages others to take small but meaningful steps. "It doesn't have to be big. Sort food at a pantry. Visit a shelter. Write a kind note. Success is found in those moments of giving."

Bobbie Mangini is inviting others to rethink their own definition of success. Volunteer at a local food pantry. Support a holiday drive. Offer encouragement to someone facing rejection. As Mangini puts it: "We're only here for a short time. What matters is how we serve others."
